Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social at 9:11 a.m. ET on Sunday, roughly three hours into the day’s morning broadcast of “Fox & Friends.” In his post, Trump, a regular Fox News viewer and even occasional call-in guest, called out the program for not adequately covering his rally from the evening before.

“Sad to see that Fox & Friends (Sunday) is not covering our packed house and incredibly enthusiastic (beyond!) Rally that took place in Ohio last night, or the ones in Alabama, Texas, or Oklahoma over the past two days,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They were all sold out, with thousands of people trying to get in, and are absolutely phenomenal, better than ever! It’s the old undercurrent at Fox News! Other networks are reporting about these Rallies, and really positively, like ‘crazy!’ Our people want to see our Rallies, and reports on our Rallies, on Fox News, or they will very quickly stop watching (like I am doing right now!).”

Trump went on to call out Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov, a Democratic Party strategist, as “stupid” and slamming the network for having her “forced down MAGA’S throats.”

“Who makes these decisions at Fox News? Probably the same loser that fired the great Maria Bartiromo because she complained about not being allowed to cover ‘TRUMP,'” Trump continued. “Cover our ‘happenings,’ and not the opposition to Greatness for America, or Fox News will soon have the ratings of FAKE NEWS CNN or MSNOW (MSDNC). Remember, Fox tried this act once before, and almost went out of business (and always right before an election!). That can happen again!”

Per a report by Mediaite, Fox News had included coverage of Trump’s Ohio rally in Sunday morning’s broadcast, though it only featured a mention of the president’s defense of data centers.

Trump’s criticism of Fox News also comes after the network released a statement in support of CNN after Trump banned the outlet, along with Politico and MS NOW, from the White House press pool.

Two members of the Republican National Committee (“SNL” stars Ashley Padilla and Andrew Dismukes) noted at the top of the segment that the midterms are “looking bleak” for the GOP this year. It was with that in mind that they brought in Hernández’s Rubio, urging him to record a message convincing voters to back Republicans this year. Unfortunately, the Secretary of State just used his time to tell voters in Spanish that Trump “tricked” him into the Iran War.

A wheelchair-bound Mitch McConnell (Mikey Day) was not much help, either. All the Kentucky senator could muster was a slowly raised peace sign before he was wheeled out of the room again. Jost’s Hegseth then came in moments later with a can of Tom Holland’s “non-alcoholic b–h beer” to call on Republican voters in a manner only he could.

“I need all you patriots at home to do the gayest thing ever and vote,” Hegseth said, bragging, “I’m putting God back in war, and it’s working. Our soldiers are praying a lot more than they used to. I’m always hearing them say, ‘Dear God, why?'” Moving on, the Defense Secretary dished out some “weird slam poetry” urging everyday Republicans to show up at the polls this fall.

“No weak, no woke, no DEI, no guy-on-guy,” Jost’s Hegseth rhymed. “No weirdos, no beardos, no Jills who became Joes. In conclusion: Vote, I guess.”

After Jost’s Hegseth made his exit, it was time for Johnson’s Trump to have his turn in the spotlight. The president began his message to voters by assuring them that his promise to give every American $5,000 if Republicans win the House and Senate this fall is “not a bribe” because he has “no intention of following through on that promise.”

“Just pretend I’m on the ballot, OK? You have to use something called imagination. Imagination makes a MAGA Nation,” Trump said. “What a hellhole this country is! It’s full of awful people. So I know it’s hard, but please vote for Republicans, OK? And yes, that includes creepy Ken Paxton down there in Texas.”

Padilla and Dismukes’ RNC workers concluded the segment by asking Trump to record a victory message in case Republicans emerge victorious in the midterms. The president obliged, telling the camera, “We did it! We won! Nobody has ever won so much before!”

In a nod to the MAGA faction’s many, ongoing election fraud claims, Trump again turned to the camera when asked to record an alternate message in case Republicans lose this year and repeated, “We did it! We won!”

Lorre accepted the Founders Angel Award at Project Angel Food’s Sept. 26 Angel Awards. He was honored with the charity’s highest honor, which it has bestowed only once before in its 37-year history. While accepting the lauded award, the veteran producer, who helmed hits like “Two and a Half Men” and “Mom,” launched into a series of pointed jokes about Trump and his administration.

“Sure, I’d love to stand here and talk about my deep yearning for a more compassionate government, one that prioritizes the health and welfare of its citizens,” Lorre said, as reported by the Daily Beast. “But the burden of my profession demands that I take this opportunity to say a few words about that bloated orange piece of s–t in the White House.”

He continued: “I’d love to express my gratitude to all the people who’ve devoted their lives to making Project Angel Food an oasis for those in need. That would be my preference. But because I’m a comedy writer, I have no choice but to explain how I wake up every morning to turn on CNN to see if the president of the United States had a heart attack while straining to take a dump.”

He also took a moment to call out the first lady, saying, “I’d love to encourage you to pull out your wallets and contribute to this amazing organization, but my need to cause laughter forces me to question how a country can embrace a smart, educated, warm, funny first lady like Michelle Obama and somehow be OK with [Melania].”

In response, the White House said Lorre was suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, a pejorative phrase used by the current administration to describe emotional reactions to or opposition to Donald Trump that are classified as irrational.

“Chuck Lorre should immediately seek psychiatric help to treat his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has completely rotted his peanut-sized brain,” White House spokesperson Davis Ingle told Fox News Digital.

Representatives for the White House and Lorre did not immediately return TheWrap’s request for comment.

During an appearance on “Clock It with Symone and Eugene,” the MS NOW host warned that the quiet behavior may be more dangerous than the loud attacks.

“They’re learning, too,” Maddow said. “They realized that when they make a big show of force, when they come in and almost literally mount a military assault on an American city, you can count on that city to fight back.”

Maddow said that she had reported on her show that when immigration directly affects Americans at home they do not go quietly. She mentioned that a community in rural Louisiana complained that they could not support the Trump administration building a detainment center for immigrants in their community.

“The quieter they keep it, they are thinking the less push back they get, and they’re probably right about that,” Maddow said. “But the American people whenever they can figure out this is happening…they push back.”

“Quiet doesn’t mean small,” Symone Sanders-Townsend replied. “It doesn’t mean harmless.”

The podcast host pointed to the fact that the Trump administration’s immigration arrests have not slowed despite less news coverage on them. She cited a New York Times report that stated there were more than 43,000 ICE arrests in June and more than 49,000 in July and nearly 51,000 in August.

She noted that the administration is rapidly expanding their immigration raids, but it may take some time before Americans realize what has been done.

Maddow replied that Americans will soon realize Trump’s promise that life would improve in the U.S. once immigrants were gone was a fantasy the administration could not deliver on.

“They told us a white supremacist fantasy…and [said] everything was going to get better for everybody,” she said. “Everything’s getting worse.”

The 24-year-old Harmony, who has served as Real America’s Voice’s White House correspondent since joining the conservative network in September 2025, confirmed her appointment on X Friday evening. TMZ reported earlier that day that she had been scooped up to work for Trump.

White House Press Secretary,” she wrote. “It’s been an honor to report, travel and cover this historic administration as Senior White House Correspondent for Real America’s Voice. My goal has always been to ask the questions that matter to real Americans and make sure their voices are heard.”

Harmony’s addition to the press team comes as the White House has yet to find a replacement for Karoline Leavitt, who stepped down as White House press secretary at the end of August.

Trump broke the news on Truth Social at the time, writing, “Our wonderful White House Press Secretary, and one of my most trusted aides, Karoline Leavitt, will be departing her role at the end of the month so she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family, a decision I totally understand and respect!”

Leavitt welcomed her second child, a daughter named Viviana “Vivi” Riccio, in May 2026.

As Trump went on, he praised Leavitt’s work in the administration and said she would remain involved in his political operation after leaving the White House, writing, “Karoline will continue on as one of my TOP outside Advisors, and will remain an influential voice within the Republican Party as we head into the Midterms.”

Leavitt, 27, became the youngest person to serve as White House press secretary when Trump returned to office in January 2025. 

Following the news of her planned exit, Leavitt wrote on X, “The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.”

Vice President JD Vance and other Trump administration officials have stepped in to give press briefings as the press secretary position remains vacant.

“Just try it. Look, give me your hand,” the other says, adding, “Close your eyes, and I’ll do all the work.”

The Republican candidate was seemingly taking a page out of former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt’s rulebook, who went viral with his AI ads earlier this year. (Hilton is currently 22 points down in the RealClearPolitics average of polls and is not seen as competitive in his race against Democratic candidate Xavier Becerra.)

This ad, however, was not AI. Hilton claimed it was “produced by a great and talented director.” He did not state the director’s name, but pointed a user in his Twitter replies to his Bring Hollywood Home plan.

The ad quickly attracted attention across the internet.

Pratt replied, calling the ad “brilliant.” Fox News anchor John Roberts said that the ad “boldly go[es] where no political ad has gone before.”

Other users online were not as big fans with one person calling it “one of the creepiest ads ever made.”

“Awful political ad. But an absolutely incredible ad for literally anything else. You should go into marketing,” another user commented on X.

Several protesters gathered around the outdoor filming of a scene depicting Good’s shooting. The movie has been described by local residents as a “pro-ICE” take on the events.

In video obtained by Deadline Friday, protesters can be seen at the filming site, chanting “Ben Shapiro is a cuck” as the fatal Jan. 7 shooting is recreated.

Livingston resident Brooklyn Wilde posted a video online discussing the filming, detailing the ways in which it has frightened community members — including by claiming homeowners were not notified that the simulated shooting would be taking place on their street. Wilde also shared an image quoting one of the film’s financiers, who allegedly said, “Oh you must be liberal … we’re telling our side of the story.”

“I think they thought that they could get away with this in the town that we’re in, but thankfully, we have a lot of concerned community members who are standing up for what’s right,” Wilde said.

The Livingston Food Resource Center also posted an Instagram statement on the filming, saying that the center serves one in eight members of the community and that “Pawn Shop” has driven attendance down 17% to an eight-week low due to street closures and armed security.

“We were not notified of the plans to film,” the statement reads. “The LFRC learned how filming would affect our mission only when staff called the city to inquire, and there was no part of the permit process that allowed us to object or advocate for our clients, as the permit had already been issued and filming was due to start that week.” You can view the full statement below.

The Kennedy Center Honors will move to Washington, D.C.’s Capital One Arena this year, marking the first time the annual ceremony will be held outside the Kennedy Center since its launch nearly five decades ago.

The move comes as another longtime Honors tradition is also up in the air. CBS broadcast the ceremony every year from its debut in 1978 through 2025, but its contract with the Kennedy Center expired following last year’s telecast.

A Kennedy Center spokesperson said a broadcast partner for the 2026 ceremony will be announced at a later date.

The 49th annual Kennedy Center Honors will take place Dec. 7 at Capital One Arena. This year’s honorees have not yet been announced.

Last year’s ceremony, hosted by President Donald Trump, drew 3.01 million viewers on CBS, the smallest audience in the Honors’ history. The telecast was also streamed on Paramount+. Honorees included Sylvester Stallone, George Strait, Gloria Gaynor, Michael Crawford and the rock band Kiss.

The venue change comes as the Kennedy Center’s main building remains closed while officials assess safety risks stemming from structural deterioration. Officials temporarily closed the building following a partial ceiling collapse, while its longer-term future remains the subject of a legal battle.

The dispute has centered on plans for a large-scale renovation and Trump’s efforts to add his name to the performing arts institution. A federal judge previously ruled that only Congress could rename the center and ordered Trump’s name removed from its facade and other materials.

The move will also give the Honors a much larger venue. Capital One Arena, home to the NBA’s Washington Wizards and NHL’s Washington Capitals, can accommodate roughly 20,000 people, compared with 2,347 seats at the Kennedy Center Opera House, where the Honors have traditionally been staged.

The Kennedy Center Honors were established in 1978 and recognize artists for lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts.

The White House did not immediately return TheWrap’s request for comment.

“CNN published a deeply misleading story and headline suggesting that my diplomatic work in the Middle East somehow benefited investments in Israeli defense companies,” President Trump’s son-in-law and Special Envoy for Peace shared on X. “But CNN’s own reporting says otherwise. Buried behind a paywall, it acknowledges: ‘CNN found no indication that Kushner’s actions as a diplomat directly affected the investments reviewed.'”

CNN reported Thursday that Kushner’s private equity firm, Affinity Partners, is the largest shareholder in Phoenix Financial, an Israeli financial institution that holds investments in at least nine companies supplying military equipment to Israel. The news outlet also reported that Affinity does not directly own stakes in those companies.

Kushner went on to explain that the company in question is not a defense company but rather one of “Israel’s largest publicly traded financial institutions,” akin to Vanguard or Fidelity. He further noted that his investment in it through Affinity predated Trump’s re-election as well as his own return to public service.

“Misleading stories will not distract me from the work President Trump asked me to do: help end wars, bring people together and pursue peace,” Kushner further noted. “That work is too important.”

“For the last 10 years, I have ignored false and misleading stories about me and focused on the work. But the cycle has gotten out of control where old lies get repeated as fact, new ones get added, and the record becomes increasingly distorted,” he added in a separate tweet. “So from time to time, I’m going to respond, not to every allegation. But when the truth matters, I’ll put the facts and supporting information out publicly, and people can judge for themselves.”

TheWrap has reached out to CNN for comment regarding its Thursday piece, entitled: “How Jared Kushner’s firm’s investment in an Israeli company could be a major conflict of interest.”

Kushner’s comments notably come as his father-in-law continues to feud with CNN over the news network’s White House press pool access.

This week, the company behind Trump’s meme coin ($TRUMP) announced a contest where top holders will be afforded a dinner at the Trump National Golf Club outside Washington featuring three unidentified “legends.” The coin’s top 29 investors will also be granted a VIP reception with the president. While Trump does not own the firm that runs the meme coin, the “Morning Joe” hosts noted Friday that he has made $635 million from the licensing of his name.

“[This is] corruption, and it’s all over the place,” host Joe Scarborough said. “When a family’s already raked in $2 billion, $3 billion, it’s hard to say this is the worst example, a most flagrant example of corruption, but it’s certainly up there. The president announcing this dinner for people that want to pay their way in.”

“This is a worthless meme coin, so all you’re doing is buying access to the President of the United States and doing it out in the open,” co-host Willie Geist noted, echoing Scarborough’s sentiments. “In a time, again, where people can’t afford to buy gas or groceries or pay their rent or pay for their health care.”

The “Morning Joe” crew went on to call out multiple members of the Trump staff, including White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, who shared AI images of themselves dousing each other in champagne and partying after Trump’s state dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House last week.

“This is Marie Antoinette. This is, ‘Let them eat cake,'” panelist Richard Haass argued. “This is an out-of-control bunch, and that’s what strikes me about it. It’s the brazenness of this. It’s the nakedness of this. They’re clearly living in a little bubble of their fellow partygoers and rich people at Mar-a-Lago. This is frat boy behavior, and these are people who are entrusted with the most powerful office in the world.”

“Rent was already terrible. Gas prices high. You look at diesel, it’s just out of control. Republicans have slashed health care so they can fund tax cuts for the very richest Americans, and you see this Marie Antoinette stuff,” Scarborough remarked, observing, “There’s just a huge disconnect for a man who was supposed to be a ‘populist president.’ This is the least populist president in our lifetime.”
